What is Astronomy Club?
Astronomy club is a high school student organization where students learn about and practice astronomy skills such as star gazing, telescopic observation, constellation identification, spectral analysis, dimensional analysis, data collection and application, astrophotography, solar studies/observation. Students have the opportunity to attend night-time observations where many observational skills are put into practice. Opportunities for club trips will also arise as students raise funds through club sponsored events. Astronomy club is run and organized by Mr. Wallace, who teaches General Science 9 at the Freshman Center, rm 123. Students interested in joining Astronomy Club should contact Mr. Wallace (see info at the bottom of this page).
